Pharmacy Technician – Job Description

Location: Kamloops, BC
Wage: $23.00 – $30.00 per hour + bonus pay and benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday (Flexible Full-Time or Part-Time)

Pratt’s Compounding Pharmacy is an award-winning, independent pharmacy operating in Kamloops for over 50 years. We specialize in USP-grade pharmaceuticals, customized compounding, over-the-counter and pet medications, and personalized patient care.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician to join our innovative team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The technician will support the preparation and dispensing of medications, manage inventory, assist with patient education, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional health care in both human and veterinary medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and label prescriptions accurately
• Measure, count, and compound medications under pharmacist supervision
• Manage inventory and order pharmaceutical supplies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
• Assist patients with questions and guidance on medication use
• Collaborate with pharmacists in delivering patient-centered care

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Kroll software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Positive attitude with a patient-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience in compounding, cryotherapy, or veterinary meds is an asset
• Injection certification considered a plus
